Gorges State Park
Gorges State Park Gorges State Park is a state park of the U.S. state of North Carolina. Located near Sapphire, North Carolina, it covers 7,100 acres (29 km²) and includes the Jocasee Gorges in Transylvania County. The land was purchased by the state from Duke Energy Corporation in 1999 and is North Carolina's newest and westernmost state park.
